Fall Activities for Toddlers: Turkey 3 Ways

Turkey 3 Ways

I found this simple printable of a turkey. Click here to get it. It is perfect for a young toddler like Evan. To keep things easy, I decided to print it off three times and use it to complete three different craft projects. Each craft can be completed using items most people have already. As you can tell, I am all about simplicity these days. 🙂

The first one is a paper bag turkey. This is probably the most popular turkey craft for Thanksgiving, so I couldn’t leave it out. I gave Evan the turkey pages and had him color them with crayons. Then I cut the turkey head and feathers out. He helped me put glue on everything and we added them to the paper bag. I suggest cutting the paper bag in half , so that a small toddler arm will fit better.

The next turkey craft is a head band turkey. I cut a piece of brown construction paper long ways down the middle and glued the two strips together to fit Evan’s head. Then he colored the turkey again, I cut everything out and he helped glue everything on to the head band.

The last turkey craft is a paper plate turkey. I had Evan paint a paper plate brown. Then he colored the turkey parts. After the plate dried I cut the pieces out and he helped glue them on the plate. You could also glue a popsicle stick to the plate and use it that way.
