Preparing the Editable Read, Write, and Color Worksheets

Supplies Needed:

  • Editable Read, Write, and Color Worksheets (button to access the resource at the bottom of this post)
  • Markers, crayons, pencils, etc.
  • Laminating materials (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Type the words you want students to work on into the spaces. There are 12 spaces.
  2. Print the worksheets off and pass them out to students.
  3. Kids will first blend the sounds to read the word on the page.
  4. Then, they will write the word with a pencil.
  5. Last, they will color the letters to create the word they are working on.

Using This Editable Reading Activity

If you want to reuse this activity, laminate the pages and use dry-erase markers. Students can read, write, and color using the markers and then erase them when they are done for the next student to use.

Since the worksheets are editable, you can type high frequency words or anything else you want into the spaces. Choose words that students need to work on and place them in centers.
