Low Prep Valentine Alphabet Activity
These engaging Valentine’s alphabet clip cards are so easy to prep for your students, and it won’t take long to have a few sets made for your alphabet stations or literacy centers.
You will need to gather some clothespins or other clips for the students to clip to the picture that matches the letter. I like this style because they are colorful and smaller in size, just right for little learners.
Once you have the free resource on your computer, you will print the clip cards. Then, cut them apart and laminate them for durability. Store in a large bag or tray with the clothespins, and you are ready to go.
All letters are included in the bundle. The pictures are easy to distinguish, so young students can recognize what they are.

Using the Valentine’s Day Theme Alphabet Activity
Students will pick a card and identify the letter on them. They will then find the picture that starts with the letter. They will place a clip on the correct image. Then continue until all the cards have been completed.
Students could use these heart theme alphabet cards during centers or small group instruction. They are perfect for preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten students to practice identifying letters and sounds in words.
Make them self-checking by putting a sticker on the back of the card over the correct answer. Once students clip the card, they turn it over to see if they found the right picture. Plus, all your learners are getting great fine motor practice while using clothespins!
