Utilizing the Alphabet Letter Formation Activity

Here’s how to use the simple cards! Students will take a card from the pile and trace the uppercase and lowercase letters on it. Then, they will say the word pictured. If you want them to say the sound the letter makes, they can do that, too.

Each card features a picture that is easy to identify and gives the child another tool to use to remember the sound the letter makes. Example: b, /b/, banana.

More Ways to Use the Spring Alphabet Cards

This alphabet activity provides students with different exposure to the same letter. That benefits students just learning letters or struggling to learn them.

To add more fine motor skills practice to this letter tracing activity, have students write the letter on a sheet of paper after using each card. You have a record of the letter cards they worked on, and they get to practice writing the letter without a tracing guide.
