My kids love these Chocolate, Strawberry and Banana Smoothie Popsicles! A healthy snack or breakfast for kids!

The other day at WalMart I found this super cool new milk called Sir Bananas™ Bananamilk. It comes in two flavors: Bananamilk – 2% milk with Bananas and Chocolate Bananamilk – 2% milk with Bananas & Chocolate. I thought this was something my kids would love so I bought them both!

Sir Bananas Bananamilk

When we got home and tried them, we were not disappointed. The kids LOVED it. My two-year old and four-year old consider it a fun treat – like a milkshake. That’s great for me because it has less sugar than a milkshake. Plus it has 8 essential nutrients and no artificial colors or flavors.

Chocolate and fruit smoothies that are perfect for a quick and easy breakfast!

I thought it would be the perfect addition to the smoothies my kids often request. I add milk and banana to my smoothies already, so the Bananamilk is a great way to cut out a step or two. I had never added chocolate to the smoothies, but it sounded like a great idea and a perfect pairing for strawberries – kind of like chocolate covered strawberries. I knew my kids would be all for that!

Kids love these chocolate and fruit smoothie popsicles! And they're a healthy treat too!

My kids really enjoy it when I freeze the smoothies into popsicle molds. It is a fun way to eat a smoothie and makes it even more like a special treat. It’s also a great way to make smoothies ahead of time and have ready to go for busy mornings or other times of the day. Then all you have to do is grab them from the freezer and hand them to the kids!

Sir Bananas™ Bananamilk makes this process even easier. Now it is insanely easy for me to whip up smoothies for my kids!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Sir Bananas™ Chocolate Bananamilk
  • 8 medium/large-sized strawberries

That’s it! I told you this was ridiculously easy.

Instructions:

  1. Wash the strawberries. Then chop the stem off and cut them in halves or quarters.
  2. Put the strawberries in the blender and then pour in a cup of Chocolate Bananamilk.
  3. Blend the ingredients together until is a liquid consistency.
  4. Pour the smoothie into popsicle molds. This recipe makes just enough to fill the 4 popsicle molds I used.
  5. Put them in the freezer and wait until they are completely frozen.

*Tip: To loosen them form the popsicle mold run them under warm water for 10-15 seconds.
