This month the Virtual Book Club for Kids featured the book Corduroy by Don Freeman. It was a favorite book of mine when I was younger and my kids really enjoy it too. So I was happy that we were featuring it.
If you aren’t familiar with Corduroy, I highly recommend it. It is about a small bear that is sitting on a department store shelf waiting for a friend to take him home. He goes on a bit of an adventure and eventually gets his happy ending. It is so sweet and endearing.
The team came up with a ton of great activities to go with the book. If you are planning a Corduroy unit, this post is all you need. There are engaging activities for most subject areas from alphabet, math and writing to sensory, movement and crafts. This is an awesome resource of extension activities for Corduroy!
