Easter Coloring Sheets – Trace, Color and Write Pages
These Easter coloring sheets combine fun and learning through artistic expression and writing practice. Students will build fine motor skills while tracing the scene, express creativity through coloring, and practice writing on by completing a sentence or writing their own entirely.
Easter Coloring Pages
These Easter coloring sheets add opportunities for learning beyond just coloring a scene. If students would like, they can trace the scene for fine motor and drawing development before they color it. Otherwise they can just color the scene on the page. Afterward, they can use the handwriting lines to practice their writing skills.
What’s Included
There are 7 different coloring page designs and two levels included for each design. These two levels make it easy for you to differentiate for your kids.
Option 1: This sheet includes a sentence starter that students can use to begin their sentence and they only need to complete it.
Option 2: This page includes blank handwriting lines for students to write their own sentence or two, from start to finish.
Plus, I have included vocabulary coloring sheets that students can use to write their sentence.
Setting Up the Easter Coloring Activity
This activity requires no set up from you! Just print the sheets and you are ready to go.
All students need to complete the pages are:
- Crayons, markers or colored pencils
- A pencil to write their sentence
This makes it super simple and easy to use any time you want to add a little extra fun AND learning to your Easter festivities this spring!
How to Use the Easter Coloring Sheets
1. Trace the Picture
Students begin by tracing the scene on the page. This helps build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
2. Color the Picture
Next, they can color the picture and show off their creativity.
3. Write a Sentence About the Picture
Finally, students will write a sentence about the picture they colored. There are two versions for simple differentiation – one has a sentence starter that students complete. The other has blank handwriting lines for students to create a sentence of their own.
