These free printable rainbow find and color sheets are offered in color or black and white. Then, there are printable cloud cards with corresponding pictures to match the CVC words.

Students will look at the images and match them to the CVC words on the rainbow. This gives them lots of engaging practice with phonics skills like blending sounds to read CVC words.

This activity is perfect for kindergarten students during small groups or independent center times in the spring.

Give the kids a fun way to learn to read CVC words with a fun rainbow theme CVC word hunt.

If you have students who don’t like to color, try this!

Place the rainbow pages into write and wipe pockets or laminate them. Then, give the students a dry-erase marker to cross off the letters they find instead of coloring them.

Or give them a manipulative to mark off their CVC words for an even easier way to play. You can use a seasonal eraser, counters, pom poms, or snap cubes.
