Digital Apple Feed Me Words Activity
Grab this free download for a fun digital way to get your students practicing sight words, spelling words, CVC words, and so much more! It is totally customizable so it can be used to fit your classes’ needs! We know how difficult online teaching can be but this activity will become one of your favorites! The cute apple theme is perfect for a back-to-school theme or can be used all year long.
While using this activity, students will be practicing their letter recognition, letter sounds, decoding skills, and so much more! That makes for one high-quality activity that is low prep for you!
Once you download the apple feed me word activity, you will type in the words that you want your students to practice. Then, they will drag and drop the letter apples into the apple bucket’s mouth to feed him the word. Then, they can move onto the next slide. There are 18 slides for words but you can add or delete slides to fit your needs perfectly!
Setting Up the Feed Me Activity in Google Slides
Students may use Google Slides™ to do this activity.
The download file includes a detailed guide with instructions and pictures on how to use this activity with your students, but it is quite simple to do.
If you are an instructor or teacher, you will want to copy the Google slides assignment to your Google Drive and save it as a master copy.
Make sure that you click the dropdown next to the attachment. Pick the “Make a copy for each student” option.
Setting Up the Digital Apple Feed Me Words Activity in Seesaw
Students can also use this activity in Seesaw, if you would like.
You will click the Seesaw-specific link in the download file. When you arrive at the activity, you will need to click the “Save Activity” button. Then you will assign the activity to your students.

The slides are totally customizable so you can assign different groups of students to different slides if you want. Some could be working on 10 words, while others are working on 20 words. It is very easy to delete or add slides. This makes it very easy to differentiate.
This activity is very self-explanatory and easy for your students to use. All they must do is grab the letter apples and drag them over to the apple bucket’s mouth.
To begin, students will go to the first slide and look at the word at the top.
Once they have identified that word, they will drag and drop the correct letters to spell the word.
This continues until they have gone through all of the slides you have assigned.
You may have students working on sight words, CVC words, or alternating between different word lists each day to practice different literacy skills. No matter what skill or level they’re at, they’ll gain meaningful practice with this activity.
