How to Use the Alphabet Worksheets
Use these alphabet activity worksheets to teach letter recognition and formation in a hands-on and engaging way. Change the supplies and manipulatives you provide to make it fun and exciting for students.
Students trace the uppercase and lowercase letters and color the pictures to match the letter sound. There are 10 different images on each page. Four of the images match the letter, and the others do not.
This allows for simple differentiation. Students can work on letter identification, letter formation, letter sounds, phonemic awareness, fine motor skills, and more. They can also write the letter they hear for the other pictures. There are many ways to use this resource to work on phonics skills!
If you have students who don’t like to color, try this!
Place the alphabet worksheets into write and wipe pockets or laminate them. Then, give the students a dry-erase marker to trace the letter on the page and then cross off the pictures they find instead of coloring them.
You can also give them snap cubes or another manipulative to cover the pictures.
Grab the free printable below and practice letter recognition and letter sounds with your kids this year!
