Flower Find and Color the CVC Word Activity
Flower find and color the CVC word sheets give kids a fun way to practice reading CVC words while up and moving. They’re great for kindergarten literacy centers in the spring!
Flower Find and Color the CVC Word Sheets
These free printable flower find and color sheets are offered in color or black and white. Then, there are printable raindrop cards with corresponding pictures to match the CVC words.
Students will look at the images and match them to the CVC words on the flower. This gives them lots of engaging practice with phonics skills like blending sounds to read CVC words.
This activity is perfect for kindergarten students during small groups or independent center times.
If you have students who don’t like to color, try this!
Place the flower pages into write and wipe pockets or laminate them. Then, give the students a dry-erase marker to cross off the words as they find them instead of coloring them.
Or give them a manipulative to mark off their CVC words for an even easier way to play. You can use an eraser, counters, pom poms, or snap cubes. You can find fun spring-themed mini erasers at Target or online. Kids always love those!
