My kids love LEGO, so I am always looking for ways to use LEGO bricks for learning activities. Lucky for me, the possibilities are nearly endless. There are SO many ways to learn with LEGO!

I was so happy when I thought of this idea. It is so simple to set up and the marker can be wiped right off. This makes it very easy to pull out and do with your kids when the moment strikes.

I broke apart all of the bricks and put them in a pile. Then I invited my preschooler to try to put them together so they formed a letter.

You may want to make some modifications based on the ability of your child. I did tell my son which letters he needed to put together. You can write them on a piece of paper, if that helps. You may want to limit the amount of letters you do.

I would also suggest keeping the puzzles the same shape by using the same bricks and shape for each puzzle. As you can see, I did various shapes and sizes and this was a bit too difficult for my son to grasp. This prevented it from being an independent activity. He was still able to do a lot of it on his own, but I will keep them the same shape and size for now.

This was a great way to develop critical thinking skills. He really had to think about the lines of each letter and try to form them with the bricks. We will definitely do this one again!
