We love alphabet activities and we’ve done many, so I decided to make a list of our favorite summer alphabet activities for preschoolers.

There are so many simple and easy ways for your preschooler to learn letters while playing outside this summer! Many of the activities only require a couple of supplies and I bet you have many of them on hand already.
Top Summer Alphabet Activities for Preschoolers
- Alphabet Relay Obstacle Course – Make simple obstacle course with dollar store items and then use it to teach letters to your preschooler!
- Water the Flowers Alphabet Activity – This activity combines chalk and water for simple summer learning and fun.
- Alphabet Relay – This simple alphabet game is a great way for your preschooler to get exercise while learning the alphabet.
- Magnetic Letter Slam – This is so easy to set up, but the fun will last a long time!
- Puddle Jumping Alphabet Activity – Jump in puddles and learn letters at the same time!
- Penguin Plunge Alphabet Activity – Develop gross motor skills while waddling like a penguin and catching letter fish.
