Using the Alphabet Activity
These fall leaf letter tracing task cards are very simple to use. Students will take a card from the pile and trace the uppercase and lowercase letters on the card. If you want your students to focus on letter sounds, have them say the name of the pictured word and try to identify the beginning letter sound.
Each card features an easy-to-identify picture that gives the child another tool to use to remember the sound the letter makes. Examples: f, /f/, frog.
More Ways to Use the Fall Alphabet Cards
This alphabet activity provides students with three different forms of exposure to the same letter, which benefits students who are just learning letters or are struggling to learn them.
To incorporate more fine motor skills practice into this letter tracing activity, have students write the letter on a sheet of paper after using each card. This way, you have a record of the letters they worked on, and they get to practice writing the letter without a tracing guide.
These fall letter-tracing task cards will greatly benefit your classroom and are super simple to prep!
