In this free printable, you will get two flower-themed mats with blends. Then, one set of raindrop picture cards to go with the mats. The matching game is so simple to use with your students and so easy to prepare for you!

Simple to Prep

This flower-themed blend activity makes planning for and prepping your lesson plans a breeze. All you need to do is print the find and color sheets and the picture cards. Then cut out the picture cards and laminate if you would like.

I have also includes a color version of the find and color sheets that you can use as a mat. Just slide them into a write-and-wipe pocket or laminate them for durability. Then students can use manipulatives to cover the words or dry-erase markers to color or mark off each word as they find them.

How to Play

This flower find and color the blend activity has easy-to-understand directions, perfect for little learners!

Students will flip over a picture card from the pile to play and determine the picture name.

Next, they’ll determine the blend that is in the picture name.

Finally, students will find the corresponding blend on the flower and color that space on the sheet. Play continues until all of the spaces on the mat are colored.

Send your students on a fun consonant blend word hunt to get them up and moving! Place the blend word picture cards all around the room. Students will look for the cards and find each matching word on their sheet.
