- Write and wipe pockets (optional)
Instructions:
- Print the worksheets.
- Gather all of the supplies you would like students to use on the worksheets.
How to Use the Number Worksheets
Use these number activity worksheets to teach number recognition and number formation in a way that is hands-on and engaging. Change up the supplies and manipulatives you provide to make it fun and exciting for students.
To begin, students will trace the number in the middle of the sheet by following the guide lines. Then students will search around the sheet to locate all instances of the number. There are 8 instances of the number on each page.
When they find the number, they will color it, dot it with a dot marker, or cover it with a manipulative like mini erasers. This means you can choose the option that works best for you.
One advantage to using manipulatives like mini erasers is that you can make the number pages reusable. Just slip sheets into write and wipe pockets after printing them. Then students can use dry-erase markers to trace the numbers and mini erasers to cover them. When they are done, they just remove the mini erasers and erase the number. Then the sheets are ready for the next student to use.
