Counting Coins Money Activity

Are you looking for a fun way for learners to practice counting money while utilizing Google Slides or Seesaw? If so, this activity is what you need!

Students will interact with digital money and use it to show to “pay” for virtual items on the slides. Kids will have lots of fun pretending to buy items while using digital money.

Setting Up the Money Activity in Google Slides

Students may use Google Slides™ to do this activity.

The download file includes a detailed guide with instructions and pictures on how to use this activity with you students, but it is quite simple to do.

If you are a instructor or teacher, you will want to copy the Google slides assignment to your Google Drive and save it as a master copy.

Make sure that you click the dropdown next to the attachment. Pick the “Make a copy for each student” option.

Setting Up the Money Activity in Seesaw

Students can also use this activity in Seesaw, if you would like.

You will click the Seesaw specific link in the download file. When you arrive at the activity, you will need to click the “Save Activity” button. Then you will assign the activity to your students.

Learning to Count Coins

Students will look at the object on the slide and the price tag attached to it. Then they will decide which coins they need to pay for the item.

There are lots of coin combinations that can be used to pay for each item, so this activity does not have an answer key like some of the recent activities I have shared.
