Setting Up the Winter CVC Words Clip Cards

- Print the cards. There are 4 cards per page.
- Laminate the cards.
- Cut the cards apart.
- Store the entire activity in a large baggie or these task card boxes.
Winter CVC Words Reading Activity
Students will pick a card and look at the word printed on the snow globe. Then they will sound out the CVC word and read it out loud to themselves.
Then they will look at the picture choices and choose the one that matches the word by clipping it with a clothespin.
Students could use these CVC word cards during literacy centers, soft start morning routines, small groups and more.
They are perfect for kindergarten and first grade students to practice sounding out short vowel CVC words.
Differentiate the CVC Words Activity
These winter CVC word cards would be so beneficial for multiple levels of readers. Students will get lots of practice putting sounds together and ensuring the words match the pictures.
